My prayer tonight is a song I have been listening to a lot
lately, called “I’ll Wait.” It is
written and sung by Sara Groves on her Invisible Empires album.
She wrote this song during a stressful time of life. On her website, Groves says, "I knew from the beginning this is something I'm going to have to
walk through, but I also knew from the very beginning I was going to be a
stronger person when I came out the other side. So that song is saying, ‘Now
more than ever I know, I know that I have to wait for You. I can't
move on my own.'" It is a prayer of
trust during a difficult time, when she didn’t know how everything would work
out. And that is my prayer, too.
